Support UMD Student Workers!

 UMD sent out a mass email this week to the student body announcing that they were going to be dramatically cutting back on the hours of their food service student workers. The cited reason was a lack of staff. They have since announced that they are going to be re-arranging and re-assigning a number of the student workers. All of the turmoil, and this insensitive wave of communicating these changes, has resulted in the student workers forming a new group called UMD Student Workers, which is looking to get more of a voice for student workers.
