Teamsters and other workers are holding informational pickets at the Safeway gas stations in the Twin Ports today. The pickets are to draw attention to the ongoing lockout of Teamster Local 120 members at the Marathon refinery in St. Paul, and the associated safety concerns regarding scab workers currently operating the refinery. Safeway gas stations in both Duluth and Hermantown saw pickets today, as part of a campaign to garner public support for the locked out workers. The pickets have drawn a lot of positive responses. We salute today’s picketers, and urge our readers to support the locked out workers.
